About AI Australia Watch

AI Australia Watch is an independent public-interest information database tracking how artificial intelligence is being built, governed and used in Australia. It brings together information from planning applications, government consultations, parliamentary records, regulator guidance, company disclosures, public reporting and community networks.

Sources and research

Information is drawn from publicly available material, with priority given to primary sources including:

  • government and parliamentary records
  • planning and development documents
  • regulator publications
  • legislation and consultation papers
  • company disclosures and project documents
  • official inquiry and submission processes

Other reporting and community sources are used where they provide relevant context.

AI tools are used by the project to assist with research, organisation and drafting.
